Jim & Betty Jones purchased their first farm almost 60 years ago in McDonald County, Missouri. Soon after, they joined the Peace Corps where they made lifelong friends in Venezuela. They were stationed for two years and were awarded Most Likely to Succeed by their peers and directors. They were asked to become directors in the Peace Corps but chose to further their education.

Arriving back to the USA, Betty was 7 months pregnant with their son Bryan, and Jim enrolled in the Forestry Department at Mizzou, where his emphasis of study was on Eastern Black Walnuts.  His research caught the attention of Hammons Products in Stockton, MO and he was hired.  During his 25 + years there, he patented 3 species of walnut trees, served on countless forestry and walnut boards, expanded upon the company's research farm and planted thousands of trees throughout the region.
Betty & Jim branched out on their own in 1998 and quickly became involved in China's Reforestation Project, the largest tree planting ever, at the government's request. Their travels to China saw them oversee 100K+ tree plantings while they worked with local and top level government officials. Through their work, they were awarded Missouri's Export Business of the Year for their sales of forestry products to China.

Today, Jim & Betty, and their children Bryan and Kendra, are interested in seeing the next generation flourish while preserving good conservation not only in Missouri but throughout the world.
